This is one of my favorite quotes and uplifts me: “You don’t know what God can do with your broken pieces until you give God your broken pieces.” – Nick Vujicic
Here is some Bible verses to back it up: Ephesians 4: 21-32 (NLT)
Since you have heard about Jesus and have learned the truth that comes from him, throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception. Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous and holy. So stop telling lies. Let us tell our neighbors the truth, for we are all parts of the same body. And “don’t sin by letting anger control you.” Don’t let the sun go down while you are still angry, for anger gives a foothold to the devil. If you are a thief, quit stealing. Instead, use your hands for good hard work, and then give generously to others in need. Don’t use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them. And do not bring sorrow to God’s Holy Spirit by the way you live. Remember, he has identified you as His own, guaranteeing that you will be saved on the day of redemption. Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behavior. Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.
Often times we get forgiveness from God Almighty but then we refuse to ever forgive others or ourselves. This is no good to us and stops us in our tracks with our relationships with our God, our families, and our friends. If we ask God to forgive us and we mean it. His answer is, “Your forgiven.” Its so hard for (us) to offer forgiveness that we try to put that limitation on God. He’s GOD. He has no limitations. He speaks and so it must be. If he says, “Your forgiven” what power do we have to negate that fact? None! Praise the Lord. N-O-N-E! (I think I’m going to cry tears of joy!) I am so glad that God is who He is and I am who I am. It is nothing in us, nothing we can do. It is all about Him and all that He can do! Faith is choosing to believe even when it is impossible. Faith is a leap, a step, a stand, even when you don’t see what’s coming next. Faith is what we have as sons and daughters of God! With faith I can claim, joy, peace, happiness, and a cup that runs over and beyond my greatest expectation and yours too! God is good all the time, and all the time God is good!
